Story: For the last 4 years I, Jodi, have had an amazing opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe and work with families affected by HIV/AIDS with American Foundation for Children with AIDS. I have seen first-hand the need for children to have the necessary medical care, food, and income opportunities to care for themselves. This need requires money.
Shortly after my 4th trip, I was given several yards of flannel and wondered what to do with it. This is where the idea of The Ellie Bib was born.
Have you ever thought about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Hike to the ‘Roof of Africa’ for a life-changing experience with breath-taking views and priceless memories? And what’s even more life-changing is that you will raise awareness of the critical need for medicine for children with HIV/AIDS living in sub-Saharan Africa and offer a unique means to raise funds to support AFCA’s mission.
We’re looking for climbers to join our team that will be travelling March 4 - 14, 2016. It’s a great time of year to go, as it is dry and a little warmer on the mountain and great Serengeti safari time.
Each climber raises $8,000 with approximately $5,500 going directly to AFCA’s programs. With medicine costing roughly $1 per day for one child, each climber makes a huge impact providing medicine for many children.
Sign up now for Climb Up Kilimanjaro in March 2016.
